Uruguay is home to some of the most striking deposits of amethyst on Earth. Our journey starts in the northern part of the country, where the basalt-rich soil hides geodes that have been forming for millions of years.
What makes these crystals so special is not just their rich, deep color, but the purity and integrity of their formation. Each one is a natural work of art—untouched by dyes or chemical treatments.
We partner with small-scale, family-run mining operations who respect both the environment and their craft. Extraction is done by hand, with minimal machinery, preserving the land and ensuring the safe handling of every geode.
This process takes time—and that’s exactly how we like it. We believe in honoring the pace of nature and the value of responsible sourcing.
Once the geodes are brought to the surface, the real magic begins. Each one is carefully opened to reveal the amethyst inside. No two are alike—some are sparkling clusters, others are dramatic stalactite forms, and each carries its own unique personality.

After the geodes are opened and cleaned, we hand-select the most beautiful and meaningful pieces for Deep Purple Project. Some remain in their natural form—perfect as decor or gifts. Others are thoughtfully transformed into pieces like spheres, flames or lovely cupcakes.
